John D. Seebach, PhD, is an archaeologist who specializes in the prehistory of the western United States, with particular interest in the Paleoindian era (ca. 12,500-8,000 years before present). Whether from 12,000 years ago or in the 12 century AD, Seebach's primary goal is to document the ways in which prehistoric Native Americans adapted to the arid environments of the American deserts. In his lecture, Seebach will share the history and prehistory of sites throughout Western Colorado, with special focus on the local Eagle Rock Shelter, the Mountaineer Site, and the Teller Institute of Grand Junction. Please, join us at Pioneer Town to learn about western Colorado Archaeology and the importance of these sites to the archaeological record!
