    After a lifetime of crafting finely-wrought, heart-touching songs, singer-songwriter Pierce Pettis has finally found his comfort zone. “The biggest change,” he says of this point in his career “has been getting over myself and realizing this is a job and a craft. And the purpose is not fame and fortune but simply doing good work.” Pettis was a staff songwriter for PolyGram from 1993-2000. He signed to Compass Records, releasing several albums. His songs have been recorded by artists including Susan Ashton, Dar Williams, Garth Brooks and Art Garfunkel. His most recent album, "That Kind of Love" was released January 27 2009. In 2014, "New Agrarians --Songs & Stories of the Southland" was released, a co-effort with Kate Campbell & Tom Kimmel. “Father’s Son”, Pettis’ newest solo project for Compass Records Group, was released January 2019 to widespread critical praise in the US, UK and Europe. Our program uses the Buddhist practices and principles of meditation, self-inquiry, wisdom, compassion, and community as tools for recovery and healing. Recovery Dharma welcomes anyone who is looking to heal from addiction and addictive behavior, whether it’s caused by substance use or process addictions such as codependency, gambling, eating disorders, relationships, technology, or any obsessive or habitual pattern that creates suffering. Our meetings are open to anyone interested in recovery from addiction of all kinds. No meditation experience is necessary.
